Do You Have Pelvic Pain?

Do you have unwanted pain with sex? See a pelvic floor physical therapist. They can listen to your story and get to the root cause.

Sometimes people have pain due to trauma (physical, emotional, religious, etc.). Sometimes it’s due to an injury (could be hip, foot, knee, ankle) and/or muscle weakness. It could be related to poor posture resulting in poor pressure management.

If you have pain with intercourse, reach out! I can refer you to some resources and providers to appropriately assess and treat you for improved symptoms.

Most of the time people think we are referring to penetration only. Though that CAN be painful, pelvic therapists also want to know if you have pain with insertion, orgasm, external stimulation, inserting a tampon, peeing, pooping, at your tailbone, or any other thing involving your pelvis.

When I say pain with intercourse, I’m not just talking about females. All people can get pelvic pain and pelvic physical therapy can help with that.

I often find, people that have penile pain also have increased urinary urgency and frequency and worsening of symptoms with sitting for extended periods of time. They also often feel constant hip, low back, and leg stiffness.

If this is you, reach out, and we can talk about whether or not pelvic physical therapy is beneficial for you.
