3 Techniques To Help You Stop Peeing So Often

There’s no such thing as a small bladder. I talked about that here.

So what if you’re going every hour? What can you do to change that? Bladder behavior retraining! Check it out…

#1

You can set goals. Slowly increase the time between going to the bathroom. Add 30 minutes a week, and when you can do that successfully- bump it up!

Here’s info on bladder norms.

#2

Cut out the “just in case” bathroom trips. Don’t go pee just because you’re going to the store. You don’t need to go between each class or patient. Growing up your parents may have forced everyone to go to the bathroom before leaving the house. But everywhere has a bathroom, these days. Throw some toilet seat cleaning wipes in your car so you can use any bathroom (Please do NOT hover over a toilet seat!). Unless you’re in a car trip longer than three hours. Cut the just in case pees.

#3

You can also use urge suppression techniques to push off the urge. That’s a whole different post, so look out for it!
